Film-forming effect

Ingredients: sodium alginate, mucopolysaccharides HMW, potassium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, water, xylitol, xanthan gum, sodium bicarbonate, carbomer, potato protein extract, flavouring, sucralose, chlorhexidine digluconate, hexamidine.

Effects: RemovAcid® is a mechanically acting medicinal product, its anti-reflux effect is guaranteed by the presence of sodium alginate, a mucopolysaccharide HMW, a chemical compound consisting of the sodium salt of alginic acid, which, when taken orally, enters the gastric cavity, where it inevitably interacts with the gastric juices present in the stomach. There it absorbs water, swells by a chemical-physical reaction, and forms a gelatinous colloidal mass (raft) which floats on the gastric contents and forms a kind of low-density gel, which in turn forms a film over the gastric contents. The viscosity of the syrup allows for an even distribution in the gastro-oesophageal area to allow the ingredients to act as adhesive agents to the mucosa and to promote contact with the irritated mucous membrane.

Purpose: RemovAcid® is a medicinal product for the treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, administered orally. It is indicated for adults and children over 12 years of age for gastric pyrosis, oesophagitis, dysphonia, irritative cough and regurgitation of gastric contents caused by gastric reflux. RemovAcid® acts mechanically and has 3 synergistic actions: it blocks acid reflux, protects the oesophageal mucosa and relieves burning.

Use: a single dose of 15 ml should be taken after main meals and at bedtime, or as otherwise directed by your doctor. Shake well before use.

Warnings for use: do not exceed the recommended dose, follow the instructions for use. Do not use if known or suspected hypersensitivity to one or more of the ingredients of the product. Discontinue treatment and seek medical advice if symptoms or adverse reactions persist. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use the product after its expiry date. The expiry date is indicated for the product stored in its undamaged packaging and under appropriate storage conditions.

The product may appear more or less viscous, but the quality of the product remains unchanged.

Due to the presence of sodium, caution should be exercised when prescribing alginates to those suffering from hypertension, cardiac or renal insufficiency. The product may interfere with the absorption of oral medicinal products. It is recommended to consult a doctor before use if you are taking other medications on a regular basis and are following a reduced salt (sodium) diet.

Packaging: 20 sachets of 15 ml per single dose.

Storage conditions: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources. Do not freeze.
