Sencha Green Tea – A Blend of Tradition and Naturalness

Sencha is one of the most popular and oldest types of green tea, originating from Japan. This tea is renowned for its fresh taste, delicate aroma, and vibrant green color. Sencha tea is an integral part of Japanese culture and remains a favorite for both daily consumption and traditional tea ceremonies.

Historical Significance:

The history of Sencha tea dates back to the 17th century when it became a part of everyday life in Japan. Made from the leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis), the tea leaves are steamed after harvesting to preserve their freshness and natural color. Steaming is a characteristic Japanese tea processing method that sets Sencha apart from Chinese green teas, which are often pan-fried.

Initially, Sencha tea was reserved for the higher social classes and used in various rituals. Over time, its fresh and light taste captured the hearts of all Japanese people.

Ingredients: 100% dried green tea (Sencha).

May contain traces of cereals containing gluten, celery, mustard, sesame, peanuts, and other nuts.

Add about 3 g of tea leaves to a cup, pour 150 ml of water (approximately 75 °C), and steep for about 1–3 minutes. The tea can be steeped multiple times.
