The kudzu plant, also known as the “fastest-growing plant in the world,” was first mentioned in ancient China around 2,000 years ago. It was utilized in traditional Chinese medicine for various purposes. In Japan, kudzu is called “kuzu” and was used as a primary material for producing strong fibers and as a food ingredient—its root flour was incorporated into desserts and sauces.

White kudzu root versus kudzu root

The term “white kudzu root” typically refers to kudzu root that has been processed, cleaned, and sometimes ground into a fine white powder.

Ingredients: 100% kudzu (Pueraria lobata) root.

May contain traces of cereals containing gluten, celery, mustard, sesame, peanuts, and other nuts.

Preparation: To prepare an infusion, pour boiling water over a teaspoon of chopped root and let it steep for about 15 minutes. Drink twice a day. Do not exceed 2 g of root per day.

Storage: Store in a dry, dark place with a humidity level of up to 75% and at a temperature not exceeding +25 °C.
