Natural fermented tea Ivan Tea (leaves)
Ivan-tea, also known as Ivan Chai or Russian tea, is a herbal tea made from the leaves of the fireweed plant. It is named after Saint Ivan or Saint John the Baptist, who is associated with its traditional use. Ivan-tea is known for its pleasant aroma, mild and slightly sweet taste, and rich amber color. It is caffeine-free and often enjoyed as a calming and soothing beverage. Ivan-tea is believed to have various potential health benefits, including supporting digestion, promoting relaxation, and providing antioxidants.
It is commonly consumed hot or cold and can be enjoyed on its own or blended with other herbs or flavors for added variety.
Preparation: 1 teaspoonful in 200 ml of water from +80 to +90 °C and steep for 10-15 minutes. The same tea can be infused up to 5 times.
