Ivan-tea, also known as Ivan Chai or Russian tea, is a herbal tea made from the leaves of the fireweed plant. It is named after Saint Ivan or Saint John the Baptist, who is associated with its traditional use. Ivan-tea is known for its pleasant aroma, mild and slightly sweet taste, and rich amber color. It is caffeine-free and often enjoyed as a calming and soothing beverage. It is commonly consumed hot or cold and can be enjoyed on its own or blended with other herbs or flavors for added variety.
Preparation: 1 teaspoonful in 200 ml of water from +80 to +90 °C and steep for 10-15 minutes. The same tea can be infused up to 5 times.
